JUNE 15. Funding the Cooperative City – Prague


The event is part of the Funding the Cooperative City in Central Europe series that explores, promotes and assists experiments in organising and establishing new community spaces and services in Central European cities. By focusing on Central European cities with emerging entrepreneurial skills and a maturing civil society, the project aims at positioning Central European initiatives in the wider European context and at acting as a platform for knowledge exchange. The Prague event brings together „city makers” and protagonists of the new social economy from various cities in order to help shaping a new Central European culture of urban development based on community-driven initiatives, civic economic models and cooperative ownership.

JUNE 6 at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam


Eutropian will be joining the “Connecting communities through urban design” discussion by presenting the work on Markets in Rome.

This is the first event of the new series Public Space. At this event we will focus on the ways public spaces connect the physical and social layers of the city. We will discuss the role of urban design in connecting the physical neighbourhoods in the city and social interventions that connect communities. Examples from European cities will be presented.

MAY 9-11. Smarticipate Rome


Partners from the Smarticipate project visited Rome and worked on use cases for the development of an open data-based participatory platforms. The Smarticipate project aims to use open data to give citizens the information needed to shape their city. By making data accessible and understandable, citizens are empowered to shape new public services and solutions to urban problems.
