Funding the Cooperative City explores experiments in community-led real estate development in European cities. The event in the framework of the International Architecture Biennale of Rotterdam brings together protagonists to exchange models of property development based on community-driven initiatives, civic economic models and cooperative ownership.

Initiated by the Rome-Vienna-Budapest-based Eutropian, Funding the Cooperative City presents cases of emerging community-led real estate development projects from various cities of Europe. Based on a series of workshops (Rotterdam, Berlin and Paris in 2014 and Budapest, Madrid and Rome in 2016) as well as investigative reports and video portraits, the event highlights new urban development tendencies and emerging actors in contemporary European societies.

Language: English
Admission fee: none, provided you can produce a valid exhibition ticket.
